Samsung has confirmed some impressive sales figures for the Galaxy S3
Samsung has confirmed that 30 million Galaxy S3 were delivered in 157 days, which is 190,000 units per day.
The first phone manufacturer in the world has confirmed the news via an official announcement, confirming the position Samsung as one of the technology leaders.
Here is the official announcement of Samsung:
"Samsung Electronics announced that global sales of Galaxy S III combined for the last 5 months has exceeded 30 million. Sales of Galaxy S III reached 10 million in 50 days, 20 million in 100 days, and finally 30 million over five months. "
In other words, a Galaxy S III is sold every 0.45 seconds and daily sales totaled 190,000 units (for 157 days). Samsung Electronics has reaffirmed its leadership in the smartphone market since the Galaxy S III, reaching these figures follows the footsteps of its predecessor, the Galaxy S II.
Samsung has recently confirmed that it had sold nearly three million of its recently launched Galaxy Note 2. Add to that the current sales ever popular Galaxy S2, those upcoming Ativ S powered by Windows Phone 8 and arsenal of phones good markets, and we understand the position of Samsung.
Samsung is expected to unveil the successor of the Galaxy S3, S4 should be at CES 2013 with a complete redesign of its brand.
