Apple and HTC have signed a license agreement 10 years

In a surprise announcement, Apple and HTC have revealed a licensing agreement for 10 years

Apple and HTC have announced an agreement to license patents for the next 10 years, which will put an end to their disputes over patents worldwide.

Companies have issued a joint statement on the Apple website explaining that the agreement sees the cancellation of all current trials and a 10-year agreement on "current and future patents held by both parties.

Details are kept secret, even if The Verge reports that after Jeff Gordon HTC that the agreement will not be a "significant adverse impact on the financial statements of the company."

Despite this statement suggesting that HTC has not spent too much is to sign this agreement, the Taiwanese company had to convince most people that he was at Apple.

Until now, such a license agreement has not been possible with Samsung, which is locked in the same dispute with Apple.

The new agreement means that HTC can implement the "slide to lock" (slide-to-unlock in English) and the universal search feature, two features of the software for which Apple holds patents.

There are, of course, many other features patented by Apple and HTC held as part of this agreement.
The Executive Director of HTC, Peter Chou said that the company is pleased to be able to "focus on innovation rather than litigation," while Tim Cook also expressed relief, saying Apple "remains focused on product innovation. '
