What is Android Photo Sphere?

Android has launched version 4.2 Jelly Bean with a host of new features including Photo Sphere. What is it exactly?

Photo Sphere Google introduced as one of the main features of Android 4.2, but what is it exactly?

What it does

Photo Sphere allows you to take a picture of your environment 360 degrees, like the ones you see on Google streetmaps.

You can then share the photos with friends or download them on Google Maps. We describe as the next source of power Streemaps Google.

How it Works

As a panoramic photo, you must take a photo to start the process. Photo Sphere function will then guide you in your environment, showing you the points from which you need to take the next photo.

Once you take a picture, they gather automatically do one view.

As you can imagine, and if you used the panorama mode before, you may encounter some minor problems (eg a person with three arms if the person moves between each catch) but the effects are really quite amazing if you are accurate and if nothing happens of course.

This video LG Spain shows you exactly how it works:

What is it worth?

Photo Sphere seems to be a new gadget, but we're surprised has fun with us when we received a copy of the new Nexus 4.

The ability to download photos on Google Maps is a nice addition, although we wonder how it will be regulated. Not that Google wants to relive a situation where it would remove all faces or inappropriate situations?

Of course you can share photos with friends and on social networks, as with any other photo taken on an Android device 4.2 with the Instant Upload.
